Overview and Learning Objectives
The overall Perio Review program is for periodontists preparing to take the Oral Exam (Part II) for certification by the American Board of Periodontology. For practicing periodontists who are board-certified, the 2 1/2 day weekend review is an enjoyable and practical way to participate in a comprehensive review and update. Those general dentists and dental specialists who are interested in periodontics are welcome to attend the 2 1/2 Day Review.
After participating in the 2 1/2-Day Comprehensive Review & Update program, participants should be better prepared to explain:
· Current concepts, particularly as they relate to management of patients with advanced periodontal diseases and dental implant therapy
· New developments and specific topics covered in this overall review and updated in periodontics
· Systematic diseases’ influences on periodontal disease, patient management, and periodontal medicine
· Management of office emergencies and the diagnosis of oral lesions

This course will be held at LSU School of Dentistry at 1100 Florida Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana located in the Mid-City area of New Orleans near beautiful City Park and historic Bayou St. John. If you are staying at a downtown hotel in or near the French Quarter, the distance to the dental school is approximately five miles. If you are driving to the dental school, free parking is available in the patient and visitor parking lots located across from the dental school.

Please make your own airline and hotel reservations as soon as possible, because New Orleans is busy year-round. LSU CDE cannot be held responsible for the cost of a nonrefundable airline ticket, flight change, or hotel room reservation in the event a course is cancelled or rescheduled. The airport is located approximately 30-40 minutes from both downtown and LSU School of Dentistry. For your return flight, allow 90 minutes to the sirport and for check-in.
