The Three Ps for the Digital Dentist... Precision, Practicality & Predictability
LSUSD Alumni Day
Don’t miss meeting the Dean, Dr. Angelo Mariotti, and the viewing of Dr. Henry Gremillion's Memorial Garden & Post Event Celebration
Next Upcoming Session:
Description:
Overview & Learning Objectives
Our discussion will center around using digital technology to improve the quality of restorative dentistry. We will consider first the comprehensive treatment of missing single teeth using dental implants. Second, we will focus on the potential impact of digital denture technologies on the treatment of edentulism. The ability to gather data, iteratively plan, and communicate information are powerful attributes transcending the digital manufacture of dental restorations.
After participating in this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Understand how combined radiographic and surface scanning technology enables excellence in implant treatment planning,
- Appreciate the importance of CAD/CAM based precision in restorative dentistry,
- Identify diverse work flows in the treatment of edentulism using conventional dentures and/or dental implants, and
- Develop digital work flows that enhance restorative dental precision, practicality and predictability.
