This course will provide you with the tools, materials, and techniques to allow you to create durable, predictable, and esthetic restorations for both posterior and anterior teeth. The practical techniques you learn in this course will enable you to offer your patient cost-effective restorative solutions. After completing this course, you will have a better working knowledge of:
• Essential products and steps to maximize bonding
• Bonding agents to use and those to avoid
• Preventing brown lines and sensitivity with confidence
• Molded injection direct composite bonding
• Must-have matrix systems to build whole tooth composites
• Maximized cementation of porcelain restorations
• Use of photography to triage treatment and build trust
• Building teeth from the inside out for maximum tooth longevity
The hands-on workshop includes step-by-step bonding protocol form tooth cleaning to finishing, fabrication of simple and complex posterior and anterior teeth, composite restorations including essential matrix systems, and polishing techniques to high shine restorations.
Presenter(s):

John M. Barksdale, DDS is a practicing General Dentist in Baton Rouge for over 40 years and a national lecturer on Dental Implants and Esthetics. Dr. Barksdale is Board Certified and a Diplomate of both the American Board of Oral Implantologists and the International Congress of Oral Implantology and is an Accredited Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He began his dental implant journey while a senior at LSU School of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school in 1975, he continued his training in dental implants by completing a two-year practicing residency from The Misch International Implant Institute (1987-88) and subsequent training in Advanced Bone and Soft Tissue Management. In addition to serving as the Director of the LSU Dental Implant Continuum, he is a Fellow of the Misch International Implant Institute and an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Osseointegration.

Bruce J. LeBlanc, DDS, is a general dentist practicing in Baton Rouge and Morgan City, Louisiana. He lectures and has written for publications nationally and internationally on the subject of maximized adhesive solutions. He will present the adhesive lecture and the six-hour hands-on component of the course.

Michael LeBlanc, Jr., DDS, is a general dentist practicing in Slidell, Louisiana. His lecture focuses on using a relationship-based and co-discovery approach to educate patients about the benefits of direct composite bonding. His presentation will cover tips and tricks to prep design, how to recognize and address occlusal components, and using various tools and techniques to achieve optimal results.

Mike Robichaux, DDS, is a general dentist practicing in Slidell, Louisiana. He lectures nationally on practice concepts that build trust between dentists, staff, and patients with lower practice stress. His presentation focuses on the use of photography combined with emotional intelligence behavioral skills.

This course will be held at LSU School of Dentistry at 1100 Florida Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana located in the Mid-City area of New Orleans near beautiful City Park and historic Bayou St. John. If you are staying at a downtown hotel in or near the French Quarter, the distance to the dental school is approximately five miles. If you are driving to the dental school, free parking is available in the patient and visitor parking lots located across from the dental school.

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is located approximately 30-40 minutes by taxi from both downtown New Orleans and LSU School of Dentistry. For your return flight, please allow about 90 minutes for the trip to the airport and for airline check-in.
