Oral Pathology Symposium

The course will focus on 7 topics including immune-mediated lesions, traumatic lesions, radiographic lesions, pigmented oral lesions, skin lesions, neoplasms and infections. Numerous clinical images will be provided to give the clinician a thorough review of the selected topics. The instructors will review appropriate therapy and management suggestions of these lesions.

Description:

The course will focus on 7 topics including immune-mediated lesions, traumatic lesions, radiographic lesions, pigmented oral lesions, skin lesions, neoplasms and infections. Numerous clinical images will be provided to give the clinician a thorough review of the selected topics. The instructors will review appropriate therapy and management suggestions of these lesions.

After completing this course, participants should be better able to:

  • Recognize clinical features of a spectrum of oral and maxillofacial pathologic lesions including entities from the following categories: immune-mediated lesions, traumatic lesions, radiographic lesions, pigmented oral lesions, skin lesions, neoplasms and infections.
  • Diagnose and be familiar with how to treat a variety of lesions from the topics listed above
  • Recognize indications for referral

Kitrina Cordell, DDS, MS

Kitrina Cordell, DDS, MS is Chair of the Department of Diagnostic Sciences and Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at LSU School of Dentistry (LSUSD). Dr. Cordell earned her DDS and MS in oral and maxillofacial pathology from The Ohio State University. Dr. Cordell is member of the North American Society of Head and Neck Pathology, a tripartite member of the American Dental Association, a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.

Molly Rosebush, DDS, MS

Molly Rosebush, DDS, MS is an Associate Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences at LSU School of Dentistry (LSUSD). She completed her DDS at the University of Michigan and a residency in oral and maxillofacial pathology at The Ohio State University. Dr. Rosebush serves as director of the LSU Oral Pathology Biopsy Service. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.

If you miss one or more check-ins it could affect your credits. Before the course you will receive three links: a link to the meeting, a link to a short test, and a link to a course evaluation. You must submit the test and evaluation in order to receive credit. The Louisiana State Board of Dentistry counts CE hours earned through LSUCDE live video conference as in-person hours.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:
The Louisiana Academy of Continuing Dental Education, Inc. (d/b/a: LSU Health New Orleans Continuing Dental Education) reserves the right to cancel any course should circumstances warrant such action. If a course is canceled, the Academy will refund the full tuition. If you cancel your registration, the Academy will refund the tuition you paid (minus an administrative cancellation fee).
We must receive your written cancellation request no later than:
April 28, 2023
Written cancellation requests can be submitted by mail, by fax at 504-941-8403, or email at CDE@lsuhsc.edu. If LSU Health New Orleans CDE receives notification of your cancellation after the specified deadline, this will result in forfeiture of your entire tuition.
