This course is designed for dentists and dental team members seeking to deepen their understanding of both direct and indirect restorative materials in contemporary practice. Presenter(s):

Dr. Troy Schmedding is a 1993 honors graduate of the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. Troy maintains a private practice in Walnut Creek, CA focusing on aesthetic and functional dentistry. Dr. Schmedding was a Course Director at the University of the Pacific and has published numerous articles on the topics of restorative materials and protocol driven Dentistry. An Accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, he lectures both nationally and internationally on Aesthetic, Restorative and Adhesive Dentistry. Dr. Schmedding shares his knowledge with numerous dental manufacturers helping to stimulate new product development for our profession.

This course will be held at LSU School of Dentistry at 1100 Florida Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana located in the Mid-City area of New Orleans near beautiful City Park and historic Bayou St. John. If you are staying at a downtown hotel in or near the French Quarter, the distance to the dental school is approximately five miles. If you are driving to the dental school, free parking is available in the patient and visitor parking lots located across from the dental school.

Please make your own airline and hotel reservations as soon as possible because New Orleans is busy with many events and conventions at this time of year. Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is located approximately 30-40 minutes by taxi from both downtown New Orleans and LSU School of Dentistry. For your return flight, please allow about 90 minutes for the trip to the airport and for airline check-in.

LSUCDE video courses are live-streamed via Zoom. CE administrators perform roll call and random check-ins via the chat window in Zoom. If you miss one or more check-ins it could affect your credits. Before the course you will receive three links: a link to the meeting, a link to a short test, and a link to a course evaluation. You must submit the test and evaluation in order to receive credit. The Louisiana State Board of Dentistry counts CE hours earned through LSUCDE live video conference as in-person hours.
